Pool coping failure is one of those things that sneaks up on you. It starts with a small piece that feels loose, and before long you've got water getting underneath, shifting material, and a repair job that's gotten way bigger than it needed to be. That's exactly the kind of situation we were brought in to fix here.
The old coping had to come out completely. There's no point in patching something that's already failing at its base - you end up right back where you started, just with more money spent and more time lost. So we pulled everything and started fresh.
For the reinstall, we went with Tremron Sanddune coping. Tremron is a well-regarded manufacturer in the hardscape world, and their product holds up well in the Florida heat and humidity. The Sanddune finish gives a clean, neutral look that works with just about any pool deck aesthetic without trying too hard.
Doing it right the first time means proper prep, proper adhesion, and making sure every piece is set to stay put. Pool coping lives at the waterline - it gets wet constantly, it takes foot traffic, and it has to hold its position through years of heat and sun. Cutting corners at any stage of the install means you'll be back to square one sooner than you think.
This is the kind of repair work that protects the bigger investment. A pool is a major part of a home's value and enjoyment - keeping the hardscape around it solid and properly installed is just good ownership.
