Here's where it all begins. The pool shell is in, the coping is starting to take shape, and the surrounding area is prepped and ready for us to get to work. This is one of our favorite stages - everything is still raw, but you can already start to picture what it's going to become.
A lot of homeowners don't realize how much the deck itself matters. The pool gets all the attention, but the surface around it is what you're actually living on. It's where you walk barefoot, where the kids run, where you set your chair and unwind after a long day. It needs to look great, but it also needs to hold up and stay safe.
That's exactly why we love working with pavers for pool decks. They're slip-resistant, they don't absorb and hold heat the way plain concrete does, and if something ever needs to be repaired down the road - a single paver can be swapped out without tearing up the whole surface. It's a smarter build from the start.
We've got paver materials staged and ready to go on this one. The coping detail along the pool edge is already coming together cleanly, and we have a solid footprint to work with around the entire pool area. A lot of the foundation work is already done - now comes the part where it really starts to come to life.
We'll be sharing updates as this one progresses. It's going to be a clean, finished outdoor space when all is said and done - the kind of backyard that actually gets used.
