Diana Royal Leathered Marble Pool Deck Installation in Progress

Here's what we were working with - a pool deck that was ready for a serious upgrade. The existing surface was worn and plain, the kind of thing you stop noticing until you imagine what could be there instead. That's exactly what our client was thinking when they reached out.

We're installing Diana Royal leathered marble pavers, and honestly, this material is one of our favorites. The leathered finish gives it a refined, matte texture that looks high-end without being slippery underfoot - which matters a lot around a pool. It's the kind of surface that holds up over time and still looks great years down the road.

Diana Royal marble has this natural variation in tone that gives every deck its own character. No two installs look exactly the same. When the pavers are set and everything is cleaned up, the whole space just reads differently - more intentional, more polished.

Pool deck work like this isn't just about looks either. The right paver material stays cooler underfoot in the heat, drains properly, and handles the wet environment without deteriorating the way some other surfaces do. We're mid-install and already you can see the direction this is heading. The bones of this backyard are solid - screened enclosure, great pool shape, clean exterior. The marble deck is going to tie it all together in a way the old surface never could.
